Make the Sun Rays
A simple activity that not only works on drawing straight line skills but also coding, measurement amongst others.
Steps
- Draw a sun with different lengths of sun rays.
- Assign a color code to the length. Here, I did ‘less than 3’ and ‘greater than 3’.
- Ask the child to measure the rays using a ruler or a ruler made out of craft stick and fill it according to color code.
Benefits
- Work on hand eye coordination.
- Bilateral movement as the child holds the ruler steady with one hand and traces the line with the other.
- Understand the concept of greater and less than.
